Óscala is a Dutch/Spanish supplier of nearshore software engineering services. The company is HQ based in Haarlem (NL) and has a Software Development Center in the city center of Valencia.

Óscala works for a growing list of reputable clients in The Netherlands and surrounding countries. We offer our clients additional (remote) capacity so they can continue to build their state-of the-art software solutions, web applications, mobile apps and alike.

Each Óscala Software Developer works exclusively for one client and is an integral part of their Software Development team - working closely and on a daily basis together with Tech Leads, Architects and other colleagues of the IT team in The Netherlands (or Germany or Belgium).

To facilitate the needs of our employees Óscala operates on a hybrid office model, meaning working (partly) from our Development center and/or a few days per week from a home office.

Senior Python (Django) Developer

What you'll do:

-   Participate in the entire product development lifecycle, with a focus on coding and debugging;

-   Collaborate with Front-end developer teams for the best integration of user-facing logic with the server side;

-   Build clean and reusable code based on cutting-edge technologies to drive the product forward in terms of reliability, performance, quality;

-   Think of and facilitate QA processes as much as possible;

-   Gather and address technical requirements and problems.

About you:

o   4 years of experience as a Python developer in a huge product (customers product or infrastructure teams is a preference);

o   Expert knowledge of frameworks Django, Flask or Pyramid, etc.;

o   A deep understanding and multi-process architecture and the threading limitations of Python;

o   Ability to integrate multiple data sources into a single system;

o   Experience in testing your own code;

o   Ability to collaborate on projects and work independently when required;

o   Experience in building server APIs to communicate with mobile applications;

o   English B2/C1 (Upper-intermediate/Advanced) REQUIRED
